And even more, to your credit because they are discriminating listeners and no dilettantes, my cats are completely enthralled and clustered in front of the sound system, not even asking for snacks. Since we're all here because of Murakami: I kind of felt like this was minor weak point of the novel. Having the high school dropout trucker character go watch New Wave French cinema and discuss obscure classical music in a coffee shop, seemingly for no reason? Seemed like Murakami was having a pretentious wank. I get that Hoshino needed something to cause him to contemplate things and come to a realization about his life, but doing it this way seemed forced and out of nowhere. And not in the fun sort of "out of nowhere" that makes Murakami's stories so great. No, this was just kinda silly. Still a great book.

It's one of my most preferred compositions of Beethoven. Besides, the pianist is definitely a super giant artist with excellent technic and nuance and this was one of the best performances i have ever heard in my life, especially in the beginning of the ''adagio'' movement i felt myself sitting in a church, praying God. Thanks for uploading.

Fabulous performance! By far the best performance of this piece I have heard.

What a wonderful performance! Having had the Rostropovich / Argerich (R/A) recording in my playlist for years, I appreciate this rendition for how much different it feels. This one is more intimate. While the piano part is written at a piano concerto level, the pianist managed to subdue herself so that the cello shone. Here, I've heard elements of the cello part that drowned in the R/A performance. Sometimes, even Rostropovich isn't enough to strike through Argerich's flamboyance 🙂 Thank you for sharing this with us!
